The following provisions apply to all legal transactions arising between Ernst Mändli AG and the customer. Unless otherwise agreed, these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) shall apply.
Bookings can be made by telephone, in writing, online or in person. The contract is valid once the customer has received written confirmation. Cancellation is possible within
3 days after conclusion of the contract.
Ernst Mändli AG shall be liable for damage caused by employees or other auxiliary persons in the performance of their official or business duties while exercising due care. If a participant acts negligently or disregards the safety instructions of the staff or posted signs, the liability of Ernst Mändli AG is excluded. Under no circumstances shall Ernst Mändli AG be liable for damages incurred by the customer in connection with the services of the third party.
Allfällige Schadenersatzforderungen sind an den Dritten zu richten.
Invoices are issued in Swiss francs (CHF) including the statutory VAT rate. Invoicing is possible from an amount of CHF 300.00. A processing fee of CHF 20.00 will be charged for smaller amounts. Once an invoice has been issued, payment by voucher or credit/debit card is not permitted. The payment deadline is 10 days net. We reserve the right to agree other payment terms, including advance payment, in writing.
The date of receipt of the written notification by us is decisive for calculating the cancellation deadline. In the event of arrival at weekends or on public holidays, the next working day shall be decisive.
Payment can be made in cash, by debit or credit card on the ship or on site. This excludes payments with the PostFinance Card.
As soon as the customer has received the ticket for the course trip or the reservation confirmation for the event/extra trip, the reservation is considered binding. The term "public course trips" includes the 3A 30 minutes Tour, the 3B Big Tour as well as the 3B - Liner boat to the Rhine Falls. The term "event trips" includes the Brunch boat, the Sluices tour to Eglisau as well as the Rhine Falls fireworks.
The confirmed departure times must be strictly adhered to. Ordered food (drinks, aperitifs, etc.) must be paid for in all cases. The installation of ship decorations must be discussed and authorised in advance with Ernst Mändli AG.
In the event of compelling reasons (unfavourable meteorological conditions, natural disasters, unrest, strikes, government measures, technical problems, etc.), the trip may be changed or cancelled. No guarantee is given that the confirmed journey time will be adhered to. In the event of cancellation, the customer will be refunded the purchase price.
Dogs travel free of charge on public course trips, provided they are well socialised and kept on a short lead. The dog must have a dry hair must not sit on the seat. Dogs are not permitted on event trips.
Bicycles require a children's ticket. There is no obligation to transport bicycles.
Cancellation of a confirmed course trip can be made in writing or by telephone up to 48 hours before departure. In the event of cancellation, 85% of the purchase price will be refunded.
Cancellation by the customer can take place up to 6 days before the event. If this deadline is met, the customer can rebook or cancel the ticket for the same scope of services.
If the customer cancels the event trip, the following fees will be charged:
Ernst Mändli AG reserves the right to cancel the trip at least 5 days before the event if the number of participants is insufficient. In this case, the customer will be refunded the amount already paid or offered an alternative date for the same service.
If the number of persons stated in the reservation confirmation changes, this must be communicated in writing at least 5 days before the date of travel. If fewer passengers turn up on the date of travel, Ernst Mändli AG will charge the number of passengers communicated by the customer.
Cancellation of the confirmed order must be made in writing. Ernst Mändli AG charges the following processing costs:
As soon as the customer has received the confirmation of the purchase or the revision/overhaul of the boat, this is considered binding.
The invoice is usually issued in Swiss francs (CHF) including VAT. After confirmation of the order, a payment on account of 70% is due. The balance is due within 10 days of delivery/collection.

The relationship between the customer and Ernst Mändli AG shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law.
The general terms and conditions listed here are an integral part of the contract.
