• Are dogs allowed on our ships?

  Dogs are allowed on the cruise routes «3A 30 minutes Tour», «3B Big Tour», «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls» and on Extra trips (by arrangement), and they travel free of charge. Please note that dogs are transported only if well-socialized, on a short leash, have dry fur, and are not allowed to sit on the seating area.

  Dogs are not allowed on the «Brunch boat», the «Sluices tour to Eglisau», and the «Rhine Falls fireworks».

• Is there a cost for bringing a dog?

• Where can I purchase a ticket for my child under 6 years old?

  Children under 6 years old travel for free. If no corresponding ticket is displayed in our online booking system, no ticket needs to be purchased.

  The «Rhine Falls fireworks» is not suitable for children under 6 years old due to the loud fireworks.

• Can tickets be purchased on-site?

  For the cruise routes «3A 30 minutes Tour» and «3B Big Tour» tickets can be purchased on-site at the Rhine Falls. However, depending on availability, seats may not be available at the desired departure time. We recommend booking a ticket online in advance to secure a reserved seat. The booked departure time is binding!

  Tickets for the «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls» can also be purchased directly on the ship. However, we still recommend booking a ticket online to secure a reserved seat (online ticket holders have priority during boarding). The booked departure time is binding!

  Tickets für das «Brunch boat», die «Sluice trip with the Eglisau course», das «Ship & Wine» sowie das «Rheinfall Feuerwerk» können nur Online gelöst werden.

• Are there parking spaces available?

  Various paid parking spaces are available at the Rhine Falls. Please observe the corresponding signage on-site. In Rheinau, paid parking spaces are also available at Klosterplatz.

• Are there restrooms on the ships?

  Restrooms are not available on any of our ships.
• Where are our docking points located?

  All our docking points can be found in our Google list.
• Can I bring a stroller on board?

  Strollers may be transported depending on availability if they are collapsible. However, transportation of the stroller is not guaranteed. We recommend boarding without a stroller.

• Is it allowed to bring food and drinks on board?

  It is allowed to bring your own food and drinks on our ships.

• Are the boats wind-sheltered?

  All our boats are equipped with windows in case of bad weather, providing shelter from wind and rain.

  An exception is the «Rhine Falls fireworks» where we recommend bringing rain protection, as the ship's roof cannot be lowered for a clear view of the fireworks. Umbrellas are not allowed.

• What menus can be ordered on a party boat?

  All available menus can be found under Catering.

• What drinks are available on the ship?

  All available drinks can be found under Catering.

• Where can I find the schedule?

  The exact schedule is available for download under Docking Points & Schedule. Additionally, all current departures are visible when selecting a date during online booking.
• What is the difference between the «3B Big Tour» and the «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls»?

  The «3B Big Tour» is a boat trip from the Rhine Falls (Schlössli Wörth) to the Rheinau Power Plant (one-way possible) or back. The journey can be interrupted with a round-trip ticket and resumed later.

  The «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls» is a boat trip from Rheinau (Power Plant) to the Rhine Falls Schlössli Wörth (one-way possible) or back. The journey can be interrupted with a round-trip ticket and resumed later.

  Die Überfahrt vom Schloss Laufen zum Schlössli Wörth oder umgekehrt ist nicht im Ticket inklusive und muss zusätzlich erworben werden.

• Why is the «Badiboot» no longer available for booking?

  The «Badiboot» was discontinued as of summer 2023 due to a safety notification regarding the docking point at Badi Dachsen.

• Can I book only partial sections during the «Sluices tour to Eglisau»?

  Partial sections can be booked for the «Sluices tour to Eglisau». Online, you can choose the Rhine Falls-Eglisau or Eglisau-Rhine Falls one-way sections. If you wish to navigate a different section, please contact us at +41 52 659 69 00.
• Are vegetarian and vegan menu options available?

  Vegetarian and vegan menus are available. Please contact us for special dietary requests.

• How can I cancel my ticket?

  For ticket cancellations, please call us at +41 52 659 69 00.

  On-site cancellations are not possible. Please note that cancellations are only possible up to 48 hours before the departure time.

• How can I change my ticket?

• Do I need to book my tickets in advance?

  Tickets can be booked in advance or shortly before the trip online.

  For the cruise routes «3A 30 minutes Tour» and «3B Big Tour» tickets can be purchased on-site at the Rhine Falls. For the «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls» tickets can be purchased directly on the ship. However, online ticket holders have priority during boarding.

  Due to high demand (especially in summer), it is advisable to purchase tickets a few days in advance. The booked departure time is binding!

  Tickets for the «Brunch boat» and the «Sluices tour to Eglisau» can only be purchased online, up to 5 days before the event.

• Where does the ship depart from at the Rhine Falls?

  Die Kursschiffe «3A 30-minute round trip» und die «3B Grand round trip» legen ausschliesslich beim Schlössli Wörth, Platz Nr. 3 ab. Die Überfahrt vom Schloss Laufen zum Schlössli Wörth (Nr. 2) ist nicht automatisch im Ticket inklusive, kann aber online gegen einen entsprechenden Aufpreis dazugekauft werden.

  Die Eventfahrten «Brunch boat», «Ship & Wine» und «Sluice tour to Eglisau» legen sowohl beim Schlössli Wörth wie auch beim Schloss Laufen ab. Dies können Sie bei Ihrer Buchung entsprechend angeben.

  For «Extra trips» the ship docks directly at Castle Laufen if reserved. Please check in at the ticket shop on site for this.

• How early should I arrive at the ship's docking point?

  Wie empfehlen Ihnen, sich 10 Min. vor der gebuchten Abfahrtszeit bei der Schiffsanlegestelle einzufinden (vor allem bei Gruppen, damit sie zusammensitzen können). Die Abfahrtszeit ist verbindlich!

• Are life jackets available on the ship?

  As required by law, suitable life jackets are available on all our passenger boats. However, there is no obligation to wear them. If you wish to wear one, please inform the boat captain.

  If you are a teacher and your students must wear life jackets during the trip, we ask you...

  • to provide prior notice so that we can be at the departure point 15 minutes before the agreed time, allowing all children (on land) to be equipped with life jackets.
  • to understand that we charge a flat fee of CHF 35.00 per school class for the additional time (putting on life jackets, checking for damage, and returning the vests to the transport bags).
• How do I pay for the Extra trip?

  Extrafahrten sowie auch die Konsumationen werden ausschliesslich per Rechnung nach dem Anlass verrechnet. Die Zahlungsfrist beträgt 10 Tage netto. Wir behalten uns vor, andere Zahlungsfristen inkl. Vorauszahlung schriftlich zu vereinbaren.

  Auf dem Schiff können keine Zahlungen angenommen werden.

• Can I bring my bicycle on the ship?

  On a «one-way» trip on the «3B Big Tour» and «3B Liner boat to the Rhine Falls» a bicycle is allowed depending on available space (no e-bikes, tandems, and bike trailers). Bicycles require a child ticket. Please note that there is no obligation to transport bicycles.
• Does the ship operate in all weather conditions?

  In case of compelling reasons (unfavourable meteorological conditions, natural disasters, disturbances, strikes, government measures, technical problems, etc.), the trip may be changed or cancelled at short notice. No guarantee is provided for adhering to the confirmed departure time. In the event of cancellation, the customer will be refunded the purchase price.
